Coil Confidential is an immersive professional education experience created by Yene Damtew and Jamal Edmonds. Designed for stylists working behind the chair, the event focuses on elevating the artistry, technical foundation, and client experience of textured hair professionals, understanding that the salon is the root of culture. 

The program blends live demonstrations and collaborative discussions to strengthen both technical excellence and salon culture. 

The goal is to equip stylists with the skills, confidence, and systems needed to deliver exceptional results and build thriving businesses.

  • This inaugural event is demonstration-based, allowing attendees to focus on learning, note-taking, and engaging with educators throughout the day.

  • We recommend bringing:

  • Absolutely. One of the pillars of Coil Confidential is community. You’ll have dedicated opportunities to connect with fellow stylists, educators, salon owners, and brand partners throughout the day.

  • Yes! We encourage cosmetology students to attend. This event was designed to bridge the gap between beauty school and the realities of working behind the chair.

  • Yes. Email us at hello@coilconfidential.com your name and proof of student status

  • Tickets are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, tickets may be transferred to another licensed beauty professional before the transfer deadline.

  • Yes, there is onsite parking for $28. We are also conveniently located near the Crystal City Metro station.

  • Light refreshments will be available throughout the day. Additional food and beverage options will also be available nearby.
